The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has become a challenge to humanity, affecting every aspect of life. It also has a direct impact on the economy and the financial markets.|
In spite of the tragic situation, data on the number of infected and dead people is also information that should be analyzed. On the Internet, a large number of sources publish current statistics on the number of cases and deaths by country, but it is almost impossible to view the dynamics of these indicators.
To rectify this situation, we have compiled an archive of them based on data from Johns Hopkins University since January 22, 2020 (the beginning of data publication). The information is available in the Indexes section, a group of indices "Diseases – Coronavirus".
Examples of indexes: number of infected people around the world, number of infected in Italy.
Index updates are made throughout the day in accordance with the data from the original source, and the final values for the day are fixed at 00:00 GMT (03:00 Moscow time).
In addition to the Cbonds website and Cbonds mobile app, this information is also available in the Excel add-in tool via the CbondsIndexValue formula. For the convenience of our users, we have prepared the file with pre-set functions for the number of COVID-19 infections around the world, the most affected countries, and Russia.
The file is available for download using the following link.
To start accessing the data you need to install Cbonds Excel Add-in, installation instructions and additional information is available here.
