In November 2005 Sokolov headed Nomos-Bank as President - Chairman of the Management Board. In 2013, he left Nomos-Bank, after the sale of the bank to the Otkritie Financial Corporation. Since 2013, Sokolov has been Chairman of the Board of Directors and the main beneficiary of Inbank LLC. Has citizenship of the Russian Federation and Cyprus.
