Beijing State-owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. (BSAM) is a large-sized State-owned investment company authorized by the Beijing municipal government to especially engage in capital operations. Its predecessor was Beijing State-Owned Assets Operation Company, which was founded in 1992, merged with the former Beijing Overseas Financing and Investment Management Center in April 2001. The merged company was subsequently transformed by the Beijing municipal government into a State wholly-owned company in accordance with the modern enterprise system and entrusted to operate and manage important State-owned assets in Beijing. As of the end of 2010, BSAM possessed RMB46.8 billion of total assets and RMB13.3 billion of net assets.
