PT Bank ICBC Indonesia ("ICBC Indonesia") was established after Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited ("ICBC") acquired and integrated Bank HALIM Indonesia. The acquisition process has become an example of a Chinese-funded bank successfully taking over an overseas bank. After three years of development, ICBC Indonesia has become the largest Chinese-funded financial institution in the Indonesian market by asset scale. In June 2010, ICBC Indonesia was selected among the top 50 banks in Indonesia by the Investor of Indonesia; in July, it was awarded the Best Performance Banking 2010 by Indonesian Banking Association for its performance. By the end of 2010, the assets of ICBC Indonesia had exceeded USD 1.1 billion.
