Lontar Papyrus Pulp & Paper Industry, PT is located at two sites on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. The first site, located in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, commenced commercial production in 1976. Its main product is uncoated freesheet. The second site, located in Jambi, South Sumatra, started commercial production in December 1994 and produces pulp. In addition, the company commenced commercial production in October 1998 at the Jambi site producing tissue paper. The Jambi Mill facility also produces elemental chlorine-free pulp. The mill complex includes a wastewater treatment plant, a caustic soda plant and a co-generation facility. The company operates as a subsidiary of Asia Pulp & Paper Group.
