Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (the Company) (stock code: 175) is an automobile manufacturer, focusing on development, manufacturing and sales of passenger vehicles. The Company sells most of its products in the China market and has also expanded its sales through export to other developing countries in the past few years. The Companys shares are listed on the main board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange; the controlling shareholder of the Company is Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Company Limited, a private company which is wholly-owned by Mr. Li Shu Fu, the Companys chairman, and his associate. With its headquarter established in Hangzhou and nine manufacturing plants in Linhai, Ningbo, Luqiao, Shanghai, Lanzhou, Xiangtan, Jinan, Chengdu and Cixi in China, the Company has a total annual production capacity of 625,000 units of vehicle per shift by end of 2012. The Company sells its 14 major sedan models, which are powered by its own 1.0L-2.4L petro-engines and developed from 5 product platforms of its own under three product brands GLEagle, Emgrand and Englon and are retailed through 981 dealers in China. The Company also exports its products through 37 sales agents, and 43 sales and service outlets in 37 overseas markets, mainly to developing countries in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Central and South America. Exports have become an increasingly important part of the Companys business and accounted for 21% of the Companys total sales volume of 483,483 units in 2012. With a total workforce of 18,512 staff at the end of 2012, the Company generated US$4 billion revenues in 2012. Total market capitalization was US$3.9 billion on 4 April 2013.
